There are enough people moving to Florida daily from the rest of the US, that residents won't give a rat's ass if Canadians leave.

I have family in central Florida and they all have a party when the snowbirds leave, especially Canadians.

Good point....Insurance is quite a bit tighter to get now than even a few years ago, (so I hear)...It is still growing like crazy there. The roads are near impossible to deal with for all of the people moving there.

It’s true that Canadian snowbirds are leaving and not coming back. They’re selling their vacation homes.

But… the economy here is so bad with hedge funds buying up all the housing and driving rents skyward, traffic is ridiculously congested, blah, blah, blah, that there’s also a hope that full-time residents might get some respite from the endless cost of living increases.

Of course, reality will probably disprove that now that developers have bought control of local governments and the state is still under fascist leadership, but at least I’m hoping we actually get a true snowbird exodus this year because the last few years, they haven’t seemed to really disappear after Easter at all. *sigh*
