I recall reading several articles, years ago, about why US fundamentalist Christians want more (white) babies born. Seems there is a belief that Jesus won't come back and there won't be any 'rapture' until some magic number of souls are born. They don't worry about babies taken care or, or mothers getting adequate pre-natal care or families getting economic security. They just want the babies to roll out of enslaved females.
