David Hogg: More than a dozen Democratic incumbents could be primaried

Democratic National Committee (DNC) Vice Chair David Hogg said his organization “Leaders We Deserve” will focus on challenging more than a dozen Democratic incumbents in the next election cycle.

He said the group will focus on mobilizing a younger generation of leaders geared towards change amid new policies implemented under the Trump administration. They’ve slated $20 million for the initiative.

“Currently, we’re looking at over 12 districts, but there’s a lot of nuance that comes with that number, because there’s going to be people who retire,” Hogg told NewsNation.

The organization will target Democrats in safe districts and will not aim to primary those in toss up races.

Republicans don’t run in Democratic primaries. Democrats run against Republicans in General elections. Primaries and GEs are not the same thing and don’t happen at the same time.

They won’t run a candidate

That’s his only qualification

It’s kinda funny in a Lord of The Flies way

Without term limits candidate selection needs to be more democratic. Otherwise, bad votes (we see them all the time) get no consequences. Nothing wrong with a primary especially in a safe district.

It looks like he will go ahead with this and will not resign. The vote on requiring neutrality is not until August. Imo it was a big mistake on the part of dnc to support and vote him in which I said back then- he apparently can't be fired even if he breaks the neutrality agreement if it is approved. I'm not sure about that. This was imo all planned out by him and his pac supporters.

My friend and I suddenly started receiving emails from him asking for money etc. right after this was announced. Neither of us signed up for it but we are both on d lists. Even though I deleted/unsubbed and requested to be removed, I received another one again. Each time I will move it to junk and delete, which seems to work better.
