removing from a country a noncitizen who is in the country illegally or who has committed a crime. A citizen can't be deported (legally, at least) for any reason. What they are really talking about is exiling, the forced banishing from one's own country. The US has no law authorizing exiling or banishing a citizen. Not that Trump (or Stephen Miller, the likely mastermind) cares.
