Where Trump Is Really Taking Us

In post-Ukraine invasion, Russians felt the power of sanctions through empty goods on store shelves. What kind of items? Everything from groceries to luxury items. https://www.newsweek.com/viral-videos-reveal-nearly-empty-shelves-ukrainian-grocery-store-1688286

This is happening now in the US by default, due to primarily four major factors:
- The Trade War started with Trump’s tariffs, which violates multiple treaties, including Trump’s own North American Trade agreement with Canada and Mexico
- The talk of taking/invading sovereign states like Canada, Mexico, Greenland and Panama
- Reversal on support for Ukraine and an open shift toward Nazi-like authoritarianism with public demonstrations of Administration officials that include Nazi symbolism and even salutes.
- The Constitutional crisis we are in which is showing the world that the US government can’t even honor its legal contract with its own citizens, let alone agreements with other countries.

By end of summer 2025, most Americans will have experienced the inability to buy some basic goods.

Then again in 2024, Russia took aim at immigrants, further destroying their supply chains for groceries and produce. Store shelves once again empty of basic goods. https://www.newsweek.com/russia-labor-shortage-migrants-economy-1933013

In America, migrant workers are not returning to work farms for fear of being swept up in ICE raids. They are going elsewhere to work fields. Additionally, Farmers are some of the hardest hit by Tariffs as their goods are not being bought by our once reliable trading partners. This will push a large percentage of farmers out of business, reduce availability of produce and increase costs of everything as items become scarce. Furthermore, the public’s confidence in consuming goods like dairy and meat will be shaken as the first people start getting sick from these products now that FDA testing of these items is cancelled.

Finally, the number of people unemployed as a result of tariffs and government firings while food security programs like SNAP are cut to the bone, people are going to go hungry and likely starve. The unemployment numbers from just the impact of tariffs are bad, but when you consider the CBP/ICE treatment of tourists and even citizens, as well aswith strict tourism boycotts from Mexico and Canada from Trump’s treatment of them, the unemployment numbers will be higher than anything most people alive today have ever seen.

You simply have to look at how Russia was impacted post-invasion of Ukraine and then consider it will be worse for us since Russia could still rely on some of its allies to trade with like China and India.

We are headed for some very dark shit because of Trump. I recommend folks learn how to backyard or community garden in a hurry.
