CRUELTY THE POINT: DOdGE Was NEVER About 'Cutting Waste.'

It's was about hobbling government in ways that did HARM to the American PEOPLE and indeed the world. It was about cruelty. It was about REVENGE.

DOGE has made a big impact on Washington. But government spending is up - Politico

DOGE has cut a wide swath — shrinking the federal workforce to 1960s levels. But its impact in other ways has been more narrow than both supporters and detractors might realize. Government spending is actually increasing amid all the DOGE cuts, with notable exceptions including foreign aid and education.

Right. Nearly a quarter of a million workers have or are expected to LOSE THEIR JOBS. Hey, are we "great again" yet??

The article continues:

DOGE has hollowed out or shut down 11 federal agencies and says it has terminated more than 8,500 contracts and 10,000 grants. It has wiped out foreign aid and volunteerism in the U.S., slashed education spending and made sweeping changes to the way the government makes procurements, hires contractors and shares data.

DOGE, after promising $2 trillion in savings, now says it has saved the government $160 billion. But even these reported savings, so far, have not led to any meaningful decline in total government spending this year, according to the nonpartisan Penn Wharton Budget Model, which tracks weekly Treasury data.

In fact, the government has actually been spending more compared to this time last year, the model found.

It's about all the ways TFG thinks and acts: revenge against those who oppose him, against education (he wants to keep us in the dark and stupid), against any good action that might help us.

He's a psychopath. He cares only for himself and pretends to care about people that he can use for his own purposes. There is no empathy in him. He is a monster.

And this is only a bit of a list. There are many more ways that he can hurt us. He will continue to be like that unless we stop him.

He said so himself. Access to all of the federal government databases so they could send it to their personal servers.

In regards to the treatment of non-criminal immigrants.

“About time somebody kicked these freeloaders out.”
“Biden just let them walk right in.”
“Boo fucking hoo, send them back where they came from, I don’t feel sorry for any of them.”

Etc. etc. It’s so shocking to me that so many in this country feel this way.

to transfer wealth from federal workers to Elon Musk and a hand picked group of people he decided should be rich. The cruelty isn't the point any more than the cruelty of health insurance company policies being the point. The cruelty is collateral damage. Marie Antoinette's "let them eat cake" was not "let them suffer" it was "who gives a f**k as long as I'm rich and can do what I want."

Now, anything Steven Miller has his Nazi cockroach fingers on - that's cruel and inhumane punishment of uppity POC. Anything Trump DIRECTLY touches is about cruelty.

But, IMO, DOGE is all about taking the money that goes to federal employees and transferring it directly to Elon Musk et. al. and, if people get hurt, well that's just their problem.

Edit to add: oh, yeah, also what al_liberal said about the data ... which, again, is about getting rich.

We have to, at the very least, remove a zero.
There is no way a bunch of young people with no expertise in the functions of government saved 2.5% of total spending in 3 months. Even with indiscriminate cuts.
My guess is that actual savings in under 11 digits. Also known as insignificant.

...that after people have to be rehired due to courts ruling the purge illegals, that the savings fall under 10 digits.
Oh, and; as someone who ran a department that assured operational performance of a multinational chemical company, I can say the LEAST strategic savings come from eliminating jobs. Any idiot can do that without seeing the downstream consequences.
Over my 20 years running that group, we made or saved the company nearly $375 million to the bottom line st a cost of an average of $1.8 million per year. Number of jobs lost due to our efforts: ZERO. That's how it's done.
