On April 1, 2025, Kamlager-Dove falsely accused journalist Matt Taibbi of being a "serial sexual harrasser" during a hearing on a subcommittee of the House Foreign Affairs Committee. On April 3, Taibbi announced a $10 million libel suit against her.

Well Matt Taibbi, hopefully the truth will come out in discovery that you are indeed a “serial sexual harasser” and you have to pay Rep. Sydney Kimlager-Dove.

I’ve heard that about Matt Taibbi for years, so, anyone harassed by Matt Taibbi come forward and make him pay!

during the 1st Trump admin.

He introduced articles of impeachment very early in Trump’s first year, the first time. Few voted with him. He filed again with a few more votes that time, but still far short. Those early efforts infuriated Trump voters who considered it (with Trump and RW media’s trenchant help) ri unfair and not even giving Trump a chance. It became part of the grievances that fueled all that followed. Some of Al Green’s colleagues may have thought he was being premature.

In my opinion, Green’s actions at Trump’s Joint Address to Congress was warranted. But I cat understand the reaction. Plus I don’t know Green well enough to know if colleagues consider him a grandstander. A number of dynamics could be at play.
