HUGE sigh of relief!

Just cleared the requisite property inspection (for housing assistance) and signed all 50+ pages of the lease with the landlord. Our local housing office had been going through chaotic re-org for over a year, and they never did get my paperwork to me for all of last year; their approval docs for this year arrived in my mailbox yesterday. So, given what trump/musk are threatening with such programs, I am profoundly relieved that, for the next 12 months anyway, I'm covered. Whew!

And if you know anyone struggling with housing issues, please give whatever encouragement you can. Trust me, it's always welcome.

I'm on HUD and know that with the Fascist Chain Saw Idiots that might not last.

So Hope For the Best For Everyone who Needs Housing Assistance.

May your new home bring you comfort and joys!

My wife and I are closing on a new place tomorrow and we share your exasperation with the process.

Good luck!
