I agree with your first plank.

Second plank, Restore the top tax rates to the levels we had in the late 1950s through early 1970s when we built the strongest economy and the strongest middle class the world had ever seen. Because of the shift of wealth from the bottom 90% to the top 1% since that time, there will be no increases on the bottom 90%. The money received by requiring the billionaires to pay their fair share will be divided equally in 3 parts:
* 1/3 going into Social Security and Medicare trust funds to make them solvent into the 22nd Century
* 1/3 going into strategic national investments in education and research to restore our place as a leading innovator that is once again competitive on the world stage
* 1/3 going to pay down our national debt that we are handing to our children and grandchildren

2. That is like a no-brainer.

I hope the Dems are planing something like that, but I have the feeling they're not.
