NJ-GOV: New PAC led by Fulop ally expects to spend $1.5 million in primary

A new super PAC, led by the chairman of a different committee backing Jersey City Mayor Steve Fulop, said in filings it expects to spend $1.5 million in the Democratic primary this year.

The committee was filed with the New Jersey Election Law Enforcement Commission on Monday.

Workers for a Better New Jersey is led by Drew Nussbaum, according to the filing. Nussbaum also chairs the Coalition for Progress super PAC, which is backing Fulop and his slate of Assembly candidates.

A phone call to the committee was not answered.
