Could you provide the source of the 12.1 million number? flashman13 Jun 15 #8
It's wish projection reverse engineering. If you take the current US population (approx 347m) then 3.5% is 12.15 million Celerity Jun 15 #17
I'm familiar with the 3.5% number. What is the source of the 12.1 million number? flashman13 Jun 15 #19

The Republicans would say 34.7 million if it was them, because the math is easy. rzemanfl Jun 15 #28

There were so many first time protestors who joined in small town Missouri …

https://www.maryvilleforum.com/news/over-150-protest-in-maryville-no-kings-demonstration/article_a88c0dda-033e-4b00-b5a2-08e526aaa9c0.html

Schlaiss said they had not taken part in a protest previously, instead only going as far as many drivers did Saturday — honking their horns in support. But the aggressive actions of federal agents, sometimes apparently without due process, drove Schlaiss to get involved.

“I think it’s important that we get people on the streets telling Trump and the government that we’re not OK with what they’re doing,” Schlaiss said. “... A lot of the recent ICE activities — taking parents away from children or even sending children to detention centers that are unsafe — that’s the biggest thing, for sure.”

Tom Zweifel, of Maryville, said it was also his first time at a protest, and struggled to come up with one particular incident that made him feel the need to stand up and be counted.

“Every day it’s a new low,” he said, which is why he wanted to “voice my opinion on the current administration.”

I started in Lees Summit with initial counts of between 1500-2000 standing on Douglas/Chipman. We drove back to Warrensburg where 500 showed up to the courthouse lawn! Clinton had a little over 100.

According to CNN.com, it didn't happen. Not one word on the CNN.com homepage. The biggest demonstration in American history but Plutocracy Propaganda Network says nothing happened.

... but the title of that page is "Trump pursues his agenda after a week of protests across the US" and the main story there is Padilla. There's another link to protests, but it's an article from Friday about "millions expected."

The perspective is that GoT was extremely popular so if the same number people protested that watched an average episode of GoT Season 2 that's pretty damn good.

32. Great question

1. When someone posts something positive about Ukraine.

2. When someone posts something negative about Putin/Russia.

3. When someone posts something positive about Democrats that also makes Trump look bad, as evidenced by the most recent No Kings hot takes. There was a big push to gaslight people into believing Saturday’s Trump b-day parade wasn’t really about Trump, but rather a celebration of the Army, which was widely mocked here. Justifiably so.

4. When someone posts something negative about Elmo Musk, Space X or Tesla.

These are the most common. Ukraine in particular seems to be one of their key erogenous zones.
