We need punchier replies
This morning I listened to a Podcaster whom I normally like but I was appalled at his weak attempt at punching back against lies that were characterizing the Minnesota shooter as a Democrat!! Instead of saying upfront that the right wingers were lying, he actually repeated almost verbatim the RW lies as a coherent statement. THEN he said that wasn't true. Good grief! How about countering with a more Tim Walz style of crispier bluntness right at the top and say something like: "They lied when they said the shooter was a Democrat. His roommate said he voted for Trump." Unfortunately, the RW could slice and dice the Podcaster's rambling before getting to the point and make it look as if he agrees with the statement. Always always cut to the chase early and say something like: "They lie about x because..." instead of starting off by repeating RW words before getting to the point! Ugh!
