Georgia man made violent threats against Nebraska Sen. Deb Fischer, feds say

A Georgia man was arraigned Monday on charges that he made violent threats against two U.S. senators, including Nebraska's Deb Fischer.

Officials said the man called the offices of Fischer and U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas, both Republicans, and left threatening messages this past January.

The man, identified as 25-year-old Robert Davis Forney of Duluth, Georgia, was arraigned on charges of communicating threats in interstate commerce. Federal officials said Forney was indicted by a federal grand jury in the Northern District of Georgia on June 10.

A spokesperson for Fischer declined to comment on the charges.

I don’t remember either one of them making it an issue and you know Cruz would have discussed it on his podcast.
