protecting their child from danger. Is her brother older or younger?
I can't imagine the nightmares those kids are going to have after this mess.

God bless these children and the rest of this devastated family. May the good works and fine examples of their departed loved ones contribute to their recovery. And may the punishment for this atrocity be swift, merciless, and fully public.

So, whatever happens won't be swift, at least in that sense.
Maybe that's better.
