So. I hear this drum is being beaten AGAIN on the RW apparatus right now.
Though I fear this will be dialed up to 11 with laws, resolutions and orders. Any dissent, any questioning and you'll be painted as a traitor with all the acid and venom behind it. ANOTHER pretext to outlawing free thought and expression.

(97,050 posts)Some kind of goon squads on our side who start to kidnap the rw media, tell the propagandists that they are being detained by the dear leader for some trumped up (pun intended) bullshit like they do and hold them for a few days just to make it real for them.
I mean, fuck these fucking fuckers, they should do a little suffering themselves, though theirs is entirely warranted.

(23,017 posts)A lot of people -- including many MAGAts -- bought into Trump's campaign rhetoric that Biden (and Clinton in 2016) was a warmonger and Trump would get us out of all foreign entanglements. That's what "America First" was all about, and, in my view, the reason why some former anti-war allies switched from voting Democratic to not voting, or supporting Trump in 2016 and 2024.
Fool me once, etc. Yes, certainly, MANY Trump supporters will do a complete about-face and suddenly rah-rah the war that they voted for Trump to prevent. But not all of them.
Edited to add: Speaking of former anti-war allies who switched to Trump...
