And even at TSA, customs, etc one must pull down a medical mask for identity verification.
These are basic rights and tools fir all citizens.
Those claiming official roles are not exempt from identity verification.

Some red states have actually outlawed even medical masks at protests, probably to help the cops spraying toxic gas all over people exercising civil rights.

I think the med mask outlawing is also to help pavillon recognition software etc identify protesters.
In a No Kings New England protest I attended Sat near a college campus, many younger (college age) and non-caucausian appearing protestors were wearing them. They just seem to me like a safety necessity for any student on a visa.

I see a lot of younger folks wearing them anyway, but clearly at protests, there's the other purpose. ICE has been seen photographing peaceful folks, license plates, and we know they can access CCTV and the license plate readers that are bundled with EZ-pass reader zones. (That info needs no warrant for cops to access. Privacy be damned, evidently.)
