2 years ago I was listening to a guy at work bitching about Juneteenth.

"It's a made up bullshit holiday!"

All holidays are made up i said. Juneteenth is fucking important.

Then I told him that it celebrated the day that the last group of slaves were Emancipated.

Dude still said it was bullshit.

The lesson is this - a whole bunch of white folk just don't believe the end of slavery deserves to be celebrated.

BTW, that shit dick was a GS-13 & they took the early retirement.

Typical GOP, hates welfare, but are nonstop sucking at that government titty for themselves.

1. It's actually not the last group emancipated

It was the last group in the Confederacy, but two Union States (Kentucky & Delaware) had some folks in bondage all the way until the ratification of the 13th Amendment in December 1865.
