A convoy of trucks brought food parcels into the territory, where civilians are at risk of starvation and have been suffering worsening conditions, with such aid shipments rare in recent weeks...
For one of the few times in recent months, humanitarian aid trickled on Monday into northern Gaza, where a convoy of trucks carrying food was greeted by masses of civilians desperate for food.
Thousands of Palestinian men, women and children rushed to the distribution point in the northwest part of Gaza City, where they received food aid in cardboard boxes from the U.N. World Food Program that they then lugged home through the rubble and sand of the war-ravaged territory...
The distribution centers have been fraught with chaos and danger for the territorys civilian population. (3,087 posts)Where "recent weeks" in the first paragraph turns into "recent months" in the second. Then nearly 4 months of blocked aid is described as "more than two months".
Where hundreds of Palestinians killed - and even more wounded - in a pattern of IDF shelling over the last few weeks becomes "70 Palestinians... in the past two days".
Where the responsibility for the death of these Palestinians is still questioned and discredited as coming from the Gaza Health Ministry. Whereas even the IDF has now admitted it fires tank shells at these poor aid-seekers and has done so repeatedly. But no mention of that in this disgrace of an article.
Where the Israeli accusation that Hamas is stealing aid is not rebutted by the testimony of credible aid agencies that it is not. That the real problem is the criminal gangs funded by no other than Netanyahu.
It's disgusting. The NYT is still really just a stenographer and propaganda outlet for the IDF and Israel - has been since the beginning.
