Free Shopping Day Tomorrow

Apparently American Evangelicals are being raptured tomorrow so there will be a lot of free homes and cars tomorrow.

Of course, the word "rapture" does not appear in biblical text and is a made up word but sure, it could happen.

get raptured, because things would suddenly be a lot better very quickly, but they have to take their stupid orange man with them.

I thought the rapture was supposed to happen Wednesday?

Wikipedia article on the rapture, started in America in about the 1830s.

A guy with the last name Darby came up with the concept in 1830 but no one in Church of England was buying it so he came to America and by the 1860s it was picking up buy in from American Evangelicals and the concept of rapture made it into the Scofield Bible in or around 1870.

So that's how it all came to be.

There is no "rapture" or anything even "rapture"-like in the Bible.
Also should noted that the word "apocalypse" does not mean destruction or death. The literal translation of "apocalypse" is "to unveil" or "the unveiling" nothing more.
