6. Yes, indeed a TRO was issued yesterday blocking the *Oregon* National Guard deployment

A couple of hours ago (~2pm Sunday PDT) we learned from Governors Newsome and Kotek that Trump has ordered 300 troops from the *California* National Guard to deploy in Portland, apparently on the theory that the Judge's order only applies to the *Oregon* national guard. There are legal filings in preparation as I write this, but it remains to be seen if the Judge who issued yesterday's TRO will amend that order to block ALL national guard deployments based on Trump's claim that Portland is in total chaos, or whether we will have to play legal whack-a-mole with deployments from California and the other 48 states in the Union.

7. Late Breaking Update - 2nd temporary restraining order issued after emergency hearying tonight

I have just read on Mueller, She Wrote that Judge Immergut has issued a *second* temporary restraining order that prevents deployment of National Guard troops to Portland from *ANY* state. The Judge was not happy with the government. Her first question at an emergency hearing tonight was "How is this (the deployment of California NG troops to Portland) NOT a violation of my restraining order?" At the end of the hearing she issued the second, broader TRO.

I am very pleased with this outcome, I had feared that we were going to end up doing serial, legal "whack-a-mole", as Trump deployed NG forces from one state after another. He's been stopped in his tracks, for at least a couple of weeks.
