Federal workers must now 'clearly' show support for Trump on year-end reviews: report

https://www.rawstory.com/donald-trump-2674237887/

"The Trump administration has added a new requirement to its performance reviews this year that requires workers in the Department of Health and Human Services to produce evidence that they “clearly and demonstrably support implementation” of President Donald Trump'sagenda, according to a new report.

HuffPost reported on Monday that "tens of thousands" of HHS employees have received notice that the new requirements will be on their end-of-year reviews. The new metric, dubbed “Faithful Support of Administration of the Law and the President’s Policies,” is one of four new "critical elements" added to their performance reviews, according to the report.
HuffPost said that an HHS employee shared a screenshot of the new policy with the outlet.

So basically, we swear we’re going to follow Trump’s policies, which is ridiculous,” the HHS employee, who was granted anonymity, told the outlet.

“This is the most critical element for reviewing the job performance of someone who serves under the elected President,” the new language reads in part.

“Faithful administration of one’s role in the Executive Branch requires commitment to the principles of the Founding, including equality under the law and democratic self-government,” it adds. “All Senior Professionals must clearly and demonstrably support implementation of the President’s policy priorities through specific results that align with and advance the President’s specific policy agenda.”

therefore everyone at NOAA has to pretend they're not real, otherwise they get fired?

These are NOT POLITICAL APPOINTEES, they are career civil servants for fucks sake. Their commitment should be to the principles of the SCIENCE that actually improves HUMAN HEALTH, not the policy du jour (delivered via fucking social media) of some dipshit wannabe dictator and his completely unqualified brainworm-infested junkie lacky

This kind of a spoils system cannot be legal, can it?

Not to mention early retirements and the flat out quitting of the best in that work force. I am a former federal employee and I know this will ruin morale and services will fall apart, which will give Trump the rational to defund those services. Trump wants another army of willing thralls as federal employees to go along with his army of goons in ICE. This would be blatantly unconstitutional if our constitution was still in effect. But it's not so......
