It is almost quaint that the discussion around a third term for Emperor Tangerine is focused on him "running" for it...

...when there is clearly a different plan.

Everyone knows that since the four terms of FDR the presidency has been term-limited to two. It is not something new or novel or recently discovered by anyone. The talk of running is a distraction--like everything involving Epstein.

In August, the Wizard of Ooze met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in the Oval Office and said: “During the war, you can't have elections? So let me just see, three and a half years from now, if we happen to be in a war with somebody, no more elections? That's good."

It really seems like everything in the second term has been tailored to lead in this direction: the extensive use of "emergency powers" in the face of no discernable emergency; the deployment of troops; the extra-judicial killing of foreigners in international waters; the extra-governmental construction of a ridiculously overpriced "ballroom" where the White House bunker once stood; positioning to take Venezuela's oil; the renaming of the Department of Defense to the Department of War; etc.

The plan is not to run for a third term; it is to suspend elections because we are at war--the details of which will be determined based on all of the disruptions of unhinged tariff and foreign policy.

For the media or anyone else to frame anything in this era of The MAGA King in the terms of how anyone did anything in the past--including the adherence to Constitutional norms--is laughably naïve. But he does have a tendency to tell us what he is going to do--if we listen....

He has several options, the war one is not real, we have had elections duringf wars all along. The 22nd ammendment only states that no one can be "elected" to a 3rd term, doesn't say the cannot serve.. He could easily be the vice presdidential candidate and then take over the office when the elected president resigns.Or be apponted as speaker of the house and then become president when both president and vice president qut at the same time..Lots of ways that can happen.

I am finished with being surprised at the shit that comes along anymore

...pretense for suspending elections. In part because he doesn't want to be seen as so weak that other people would have to give him the office--and then also be seen as owing them something; but mostly because just like the neoclassical decor he loves to surround himself with, he believes in the Roman concept of virtus and glory through military conquest.

The triumphal arc he wants to build in Washington really tells us all we need to know about his thought process....

He wasn't kidding and I'm not sure how his people managed to convince him otherwise. Possibly the threat of being dragged out in broad daylight by big strong men with tears in their eyes, saying "Get the hell out...Sir".

This time, I think he's really going to try to have a force dedicated to helping him stay in the building. We may have to shut off power (including any generators) and water and let him starve in the dark until he gives up. Once the food in the refrigerators rots, I give him two days, tops.

Then he'll blame Vance.

...less than $100 million is so concerning. With $250 million (at least) to spend on whatever will go below this monstrosity with no construction oversight by congress or anyone else we must assume--and plan for--the worst.

IMO: there is only evil and ego in that addled mind--the combination of which is leading in a direction that most Americans do not want to even fathom yet. But the sooner we take it seriously as a possibility the more effectively we can expose and counter what has the potential to be a very dark time for not only America but the entire planet.

Trump knows how to manipulate the news cycle to whatever subject he wants in order to quiet down news stories about the the subjects he doesn't want.

...and everyone saying it is another Epstein diversion is actually a welcome diversion in itself from his actual plans.

I'm going to guess that by now he and his sycophants have had plenty of time to destroy any evidence of his wrongdoing re Epstein. He knows that the Epstein story has no teeth where he is concerned, and now he is using it as the diversion for other things.

We ignore that possibility at our own peril.
