Republicans sure don't want SNAP recipients to eat.

Every Indiana Republican on the State Budget Committee voted against State Rep. Greg Porter's (D-Indianapolis) proposal to transfer some of the state's surplus money to the Family and Social Services Administration (FSSA) in order to cover SNAP funds during the federal shutdown.

I didn't see the names of the states, but my bet it is along a blue/red divide.

Seems like they are shooting themselves in the foot here.

They are pissing on their own voters to try to get compassionate liberal Democrats to give in.

How despicable is that?

Giving in to them would be a mistake. It just empowers them to refuse to negotiate on anything.

Shit's bad, and it is going to get worse.
