Gov Newsom is well liked in California, but I do see leeway for the extention of ACA subsides.

What are you talking about? The deal is that Schumer can get one vote in the Senate in December, after people have already had to make their decisions for 2026 on legislation that the House will never consider. There is no promise or even a suggestion that any Republican will vote for any of that.

With friends like Schumer and the 10 senate “democrats” , who needs enemies? I feel so betrayed and defeated right now. We just come off of massive electoral victories last week, we have Trump and Republicans on the ropes then Chuck and these senate democrats completely capitulate, give up all of our leverage (yet again) and hand Trump and the republicans a massive victory. The shutdown was basically pointless at this point.

there are a bunch more Manchins in both houses. The big tent sounds great until we actually need to get something done.

But the 10 Dems of the repuglikan party went off on their own and did this. With the 10 sellouts going to the dark side, he had no way to hold the line.

I think he organized it and then there were enough moderates to take the fall for him.

7. Personally I can NOT go through the mental stress

of dealing with this BS on a month to month basis. I'm already a basket case. This BS is harming me mentally, emotionally and physically. Stress is harmful!!!

My ACA is $194 a month, in 2026 it will be $1,200 a month (33% of my income after taxes). I live in CA and it is VERY expensive. I save every penny and have my entire life since I have always needed health insur and no one would let me by it due to pre existing conditions, like getting a migraine. I've been preparing myself for this BS over the ACA since July. I told everyone I knew about it and everyone said I was over reacting and worrying over nothing. This only added to my frustration.

I can NOT continue to go through this over and over. It is TOO much!!!!!

This is entirely unacceptable. These capitulations will harm millions of Americans and cause democrats to lose elections. So sick of being stabbed in the back by Schumer and sell out democrats in the senate

22. They only needed 8 Dems to cave. It would have been only 7 Dem cavers needed, but Rand Paul was always a No.

The 8 cavers were:

Fetterman PA
Hassan NH
Shaheen NH (retiring)
Cortez Masto NV
Rosen NV
King (I) ME
Durbin IL (retiring)
Kaine VA

None are up for re-election in 2026.

That the caving Dems believe any of us are fooled by this phony “vote” is pissing me all off. As though they scored some major concession.
