US history is January 7, 2021. The first day that we did not properly address the most severe attempt at destroying US democracy.

10. I think once the information was gathered after the mayhem,

the Dems did an outstanding job of laying out what happened.

And a lot of corporations stepped up and said that they would not financially support any candidates who had engaged in supporting the failed coup attempt.
Even some Republicans made abortive attempts to hemhaw support for Trump.
But more Republicans, many corporations and about 15% of the electorate still supported Trump. And with no action forthcoming from the corrupted system of justice, most Republicans drifted back to support Trump and most of the ignorant and apathetic third of the electorate failed once again to give a damn.


Edit: And, in the end, we failed as a nation.
