The Trump administration was reportedly splintering Monday over the fatal ICE shooting of 37-year-old ICU nurse Alex Pretti in Minneapolis.
President Donald Trump's chief of staff Susie Wiles and White House deputy chief of staff for policy Stephen Miller the architect of the Trump administration's aggressive immigration policy have apparently turned on Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem and Corey Lewandowski, The Daily Beast reported. Lewandowski and Noem have been subject to multiple reports of a not-so-secret personal relationship, although neither of them have publicly addressed the claims.
The administration's senior leadership has questioned Noem's competence and decision to have Customs and Border Patrol commander Greg Bovino leading the operation as the "public face" for Trump's policies. Several of Bovino's moves had already come into question prior to Pretti's killing shocked Americans.

Hey Miller do you remember your mentor David Horowitz..............come on you can tell everyone. As for you and wiles throwing people under the proverbial bus............for over your entire lives you have propagated racism, hate to other human being, your morals are full of what's called proverbial shit. Noem and all of her lackeys at that murder incorporated agency should look in the mirror......... by starting with that orange hair traitor that said he could stand on 5th avenue and shoot someone and no would care.........well he is wrong...............

(195,358 posts)so naturally SStephen Miller upped it to 3,000 - which also puts the goal just over 1,000,000 per year.

What's next? Snooki as Homeland Security Director and Mike "The Situation" as Director of ICE?

(195,358 posts)Trump loves to keep people on edge and watch them squirm, his own people.
The murder of Renee Good Jan. 7th probably kept her in place. It would look like an admission of guilt or being wrong.
It seems she was supposed to just glam it up and be a show 🙄 while her actual Deputy (not Lewandowski) and Homan run things as Miller sees fit.
Good article here on the backlash coming from even inside the GOP.

(13,292 posts)I wrote a couple of them on NYT articles, but calls were frequent for Miller to be fired. Trumps personal Nazi is behind much of the violence, not that Trump cares.

(3,473 posts)I dropped my Raw Story account years ago because of their propensity to publish crap that someone pulled out of very thin air.
Even if part of this is true, Miller is pissed at Noem and Co. NOT BECAUSE THEY ARE MURDERING PEOPLE, but that they are not doing it with plausible deniability. Noem, Bovino, and company got caught -- Miller wants people who won't get caught.
Nothing will change except the names at the top.
...that any of them have had Lady Macbeth's apparent bout with her conscience over the blood on her hands, but there are millions of us who are happy to point it out. My husband, daughter & her family were on a march in Boise yesterday. Amazingly, even the local papers are saying over a thousand were there, and that was with no time to organize it.... and marched, to the accompaniment of honking car horns in support. My thinking is that if in such a red state as Idaho (we live in a very blue bubble in Boise) that finally the momentum is growing and will begin to tilt the country back to some semblance of sanity.

Stephen Miller ordered Kristi Noem to say Alex Pretti wanted to 'massacre' ICE: report

According to Axios, Miller ordered Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem to make the claim about Pretti after he died.
"Everything I've done, I've done at the direction of the president and Stephen," Noem insisted in remarks that were reported by Axios.
One source told the publication that officers involved in the shooting "all shut up and got lawyers real quick, so there wasn't a lot of information."
Miller then directed DHS to assemble a statement, including information about Pretti's firearm.
"Stephen heard 'gun' and knew what the narrative would be: Pretti came to 'massacre' cops," one source pointed out.
Miller later asserted in a post on X that Pretti was an "assassin." The language was repeated by Noem and Border Patrol chief Greg Bovino.
The White House held a meeting with Noem on Monday, but Miller was not present.
"Noem has complained to others that she feels she's being hung out to dry over the episode and has made sure to emphasize she took direction from Miller and the president," Axios reported.
