So he is opportunist, goes for the low hanging fruit and easy victims.
If thwarted, he will move on, cut his losses and go for the next easy target.
We see this pattern over and over again.

(12,734 posts)1) This regime is doing monumental harm. The felon in chief and his lawless executive agencies and co-conspirators in the private sector have, and continue to, corrupt and destroy the capacity of executive agencies to function as institutions that enforce and carry out our body of law as enacted by our Congress; they have, and continue to, co-opt and corrupt the judicial branch to thwart any effort to interfere in their criminal enterprise, and they have, and continue to, corrupt the processes by which our will is measured and enacted. His actions have put the world and this nation in grave danger -- greater danger than we have faced in the past 75 years.
2) He is a weak. He is faltering. MAGA is losing ground. His desperate escalations are angering greater and and greater numbers. When people, nations, corporations, and public institutions fight back, they win. And more are learning that appeasement is futile. More are recognizing they must take a stand, and coordinate opposition more effectively.
We must recognize the horrors of (1) and work to mitigate the the harms in whatever ways we can, and build a vision and plans for building back better, AND find the sort of hope that inspires greater action and coordination in (2). We must push leaders and electeds to find more creative ways to coordinate. It is up to us to push our Congress, and the leaders of the free cities and states of this nation, to recognize the magnitude of the threat, and recognize the need for a far more creative, effective and coordinated response.
