President Donald Trump's administration insisted that there would be "national security implications" if the new White House ballroom was not built immediately.
In a motion opposing an injunction to halt the building of a massive White House addition, attorneys for the National Park Service warned there could be "an emergency situation" if the project were paused.
"Defendants have strong arguments for appeal, and the equities and public interest weigh overwhelmingly against suspending construction in the interim," the motion stated.

(48,856 posts)First it couldn't have been real, then it was real but it was not done when the president was at the White House because the sealed windows had to be removed and that was a security risk, and then the entire wing was simply demolished and nobody cared about that as a security risk--at least not until now, when Trump wants to start construction on the new throne room ballroom.
Trump added that such a video couldn't be real because "you can't open the windows" in the White House. "Theyre all heavily armored and bullet-proof, he said.
Trump's comments on the viral video came hours after a White House official gave TIME a statement that implied the videos content was real, and that it showed a a contractor doing regular maintenance."

(13,331 posts)Trump doesn't need a secret bunker since one is available in West Virginia to house him and members of Congress in case of nuclear attack. No one could possibly think that a nuclear attack is possible or probable. Trump uses national security for every thing he wants to do that is against the law.
