There's a community note that says there's no confirmation anywhere. In response they posted their "source" which is a tumblr post about the big Minneapolis protest I think a day before Alex Pretti was shot but nothing about any executive order.

Before I looked on threads, I found nothing on bluesky or Twitter.

And the article posted with it is from the Brennan Center for Justice which is a liberal organization.

Brennan Center is a reputable source on its own, but says nothing about a recent executive order draft that I can find.

There was a draft EO Trump made in 2021 before he left office that has the same gist, and the community note referenced it. Politico has it here:
https://www.politico.com/news/2022/01/21/read-the-never-issued-trump-order-that-would-have-seized-voting-machines-527572

I think you should delete. There's enough real stuff to worry about without quoting some guy on the Internet who did a screenshot of another guy on the Internet with his own agenda and is obviously lying, per his "source" post.

ETA: I would love to see a post just about the Brennan Center article and/or the old Politico one. Good information there and I hadn't seen either.

Please explain? Sometimes I'm not the sharpest tool in the drawer.

Also, I added a paragraph at the bottom of my last post which may clarify what I'm trying to say.

I already deleted the post from bluesky. I did leave the info from Brennan because we need to know this stuff to fight it. ( which is the same content as in the bluesky post )
