and wanted to thank every one for your warm wishes and also reports of your own prostate and bladder cancers. It is uplifting to know that things like this can be cured. I am so thankful to all of you, and am thankful for all the hearts you have bestowed on me. I am profoundly moved...however from now on please save your hearts for those who do not have any...perhaps a heart from some one will totally make their day and lift their spirit. You all have surely lifted mine...please carry that forward to others. In Gratefulness Mike C

(15,789 posts)& i'm doing fine. I had to make some inconvenient adjustments along the way, but i just thought of how many of us men go through prostate cancer and at least didnt feel so all alone. My faith helped, my 12-step work helped, talking about it when i needed to helped. All my prayers and love to you, Mike. I'll tell you one story after i had the biopsy on my prostate. They told me before one of the minor effects of the biopsy, which i quickly forgot. So I was, uh, fiddling around with myself the next day or so, and my semen comes out brown! Rust-colored! A mix of semen and the blood that normally gets in there after the biopsy. My heart about stopped until i remembered what they'd told me, and i went ahead and cleaned up the area with relief. Again, Mike, prayers, etc., and if something incongruously makes you feel like laughing along the path, indulge! In fact if you message me your address I'll send you a copy of Mixed Animal, the novel. It might tickle you here and there.

(173 posts)Ot, but doctors are telling women over 65 that they don't need to get their PAP test yearly. Don't believe them. My sister did and then found out she had stage 4 cervical cancer. She died. Doctors don't think women over 65 should have this life saving test yearly because they don't think women should live that long. Have your PAP and Mamo test yearly and live longer.
