How fast can he get back to golfing.

(2,616 posts)Netanyahu has referred to these murderous operations as "cutting the grass", like routine maintenance you need to do regularly. Bibi always chooses his attacks 99% on the basis of what he thinks will fly with US politics.
In this case, Trump and the Republicans are in terrible shape politically, so Bibi lured Trump into making this a bigger attack than usual. He's hoping that there could be some regime change. But at least he wants to keep Iranian society in turmoil for a few years. Remember that Ali Hosseini Khamenei has been near the top of Iran's power structure since the Shah died. In the 1970s, the top guy was Khomeini, but Khamenei was by his side most of the time. So this does have the potential to shake things up quite a bit.
All Trump cares about is getting some of that beachfront land from the Gaza genocide.
