Funny how most wars start off with assumptive optimism.

Civil War: Confederates thought the military controversy would be over in weeks.

First World War: Germany thought it could rely on strategic alliances and hubris to roll over small countries to avenge the assassination of Austria's future emperor.

Second World War: Germany (again) thought it could collect counties like charms on a bracelet, not forgetting it would be a cakewalk to roll in and out of Russia in a matter of weeks, only to be imprisoned by the deadly winter climate. (Operation Barbarossa).

Korean War: American military believed it was a mere policing maneuver, not a war.

Vietnam War: See Korean War.

2003 Invasion of Iraq: Knock off Sadam Hussain and easy-peasy.

The little child rapist told the NYT 4/6 weeks..... if he wasn't a loser and a coward, not to mention little child rapist ,he would offer his resignation if the illegal invasion goes into a 7th week ?

he showed everyone that he can go to war with anyone at any time he chooses. he doesn't care what the military advises him, he doesn't care how many people die, his decision to go to war cements his goal to be dictator.

Do all the polls and put them on TV, Krasnov doesn't give a damn.

It's clear this is Israel's war and the US did little to no planning and have no clear objectives.

The Union thought they would defeat the Rebels in weeks.

France, Britain, and Imperial Russia believed they'd crush Austria-Hungary and Germany before Christmas.

The North Koreans thought the South Koreans would be pushovers.

Usually both sides in a war go in with high expectations.
