I simply had to turn it off

Had MSNOW on the tv while puttering around, getting ready for errands -- grocery, library, pharmacy.

MSNOW came on with live feed from Oval Office where Trump is greeting a German official.

As expected, the questions were directed to Trump about the Iran War. And that was all he needed to launch into disconnected, rambling soliloquies that went nowhere.

When I got up to mute the sound the Oval Office decorations caught my eye.

I'm from SW Mississippi with deep family connections to Louisiana and the Cajun area between Baton Rouge and New Orleans. A distant relative was closely associated with several late 19th century New Orleans bordellos -- so much so that his mother-in-law after his wife's death -- came to NO, grabbed their children, and took them home with her to rural Mississippi.

We have a few old black and white photos from two of the fancy houses of which he was part owner.

Trump's Oval Office decorations are exact copies of the decor in an 1890's New Orleans whorehouse.

Maybe that's where the bad taste began.

We took a Holland America cruise a few years ago. Half of the cruise was at sea enjoying the Inland Passage and the glaciers and places like Juneau, etc. The second half was on land. We took a train out of Sitka up to a pass in BC and then caught a bus to travel through the Yukon, eventually winding up in Dawson. His brothel was located in a small community, mainly for tourists, along the way. It was a fantastic trip, which I highly recommend. It also included Fairbanks and Denali before flying back home out of Anchorage.

…. sophisticated.

What he did to that exquisite piece of marble above the fireplace was a crime. That stone was perfect
and didn’t need anything added to it let alone drilling into it to hang those cheesy ass filigrees which
probably ruined it. And he can have any cut of meat, any piece of fish or poultry or baked goods or fruit or
vegetable or desert or any style of cooking in the world but he likes, KFC, McDonald’s, Diet Coke, and
well done N.Y. strip steaks with ketchup.

You have to be alone to do a soliloquy.

Of course, trump actually is alone because he is the only one who actually believes what he says. And you, as another person being in the room, do not count. Only he counts. In that sense, soliloquy might be appropriate.

where I was primarily a sounding board for very long and tedious monologues. I could have been a lamp as there was rarely any interaction and when there was, it could become violent.

Trump’s always on stage, so that fits. In drama, usually a monologue. Philosophically, it usually refers to an internal dialogue involving reason, belief, and maybe faith. I do like the jeremiad suggestion though.

He is alienating our allies and his religious military magaloon cult members are pushing us towards the end times.

I am scared as crap and worried for our country and upcoming needless deaths. The first bombings should be at Mar a lago. And we still today have 1053 days left from his reign of terror. GOD HELP US!

Trump’s grandad Friedrick Drumpf went to Alaska to try and get rich in the gold mines but realized he could make a lot more money selling booze and whores to the miners. So he did. Perhaps some of that filth found its way to Trump’s diseased brain.

Plus he married Melania.
