Before we all get too carried away in praise of Thom Tillis . . .

Look, yes, his takedown of Noem was a satisfying watch. But it was interesting that he should bring up the dog killing incident, given that he voted to confirm her with full knowledge of that incident. He says that it was a "bad decision." Yes, it certainly was, Thom. But you voted to confirm her with full knowledge of that "bad decision." So what does that say about you?

And old Sen Tillis will say some bat crazy racist BS by the end of the week.

But for today, he is our temporary ally against the evil that is ICE, DHS, and Noem

...Cab member or Trump appointee in the investigative hotseat

This in no way minimizes Noem's crimes here.

Just wish the person going so hard on her wasn't a known misogynist asshole, anti abortion, anti birth control psycho who had NO PROBLEM confirming people like Kavanaugh and Hegseth in the face of serious sexual abuse allegations.

He's a POS, and has been for many years. So he had a good 10 minutes questioning someone and now he's the man, great etc?

Whatever they may do to benefit our side, I'm all for it. But I won't be forgetting which side of the aisle they sit (or sat) on and the antics that have been used in the past.

I will say that the fact he found a way to bring it up when some might argue its relevance to current events was appreciated (by me) and showed it had been on his mind since. He's leaving so, yeah, he's free to say whatever he wants, so I'm not overly enthralled with him now (or prior).

one voice at a time. I doubt too many, if any at all, are providing him unconditional, or even conditional support.

They have no actual policy for governance.

Fuck Tillis. Fuck Noem. Fuck everbody who ever supported this administration. I’m so over thinking any of them deserve any second chances.

Because it’s not the second chance. It’s not the third or fourth or even tenth.

If the only time you have the courage to do the right thing is when you have nothing to lose, it's not really courageous.

and his newfound voice says a lot about living inside the world of modern republican politics.

He's more of an old school republican and that just doesn't work in Trump's world.

It's a shame really. When all is said and done there isn't going to be much left we can potentially work with.

Tillis was one of those.
