Gracious to Jasmine, and now he is describing how billionaires are screwing everyone else.

but he's from Round Rock (by Austin); studied at UT, Harvard, and Seminary. He might need to campaign out in the country to fix that.

I've been in Texas the same amount of time as Jasmine Crocket (a little over 20 years). I don't think I've picked up an accent, but my northern relatives can hear it.

I often let most stump speeches go in one ear and out the other, as they tend to be redundant and predictable. He was quite fresh and inspiring. I felt a little spark of hope for Texas! We'll see.

will be shouting "Amen!" at the end.

This week;s New Yorker magazine had a long profile story on him. One passage particulary caught my attention, where he ruefully noted that apparently people need enemies, so he would give them a different one - the corrupt billionaire class rather than each other. That aligns him with where Americans/voters currently are.
