Spring Break? Not yet, but....

Congress is currently in a "district work period" (recess) from March 5, 2026, through March 15, 2026, meaning members are not in Washington, D.C.. The House has concluded legislative business for this period, with the next meeting scheduled for March 9, 2026. This is a standard, temporary break, not the main spring recess.

Current Break: March 5–15, 2026 (District Work Period).
Upcoming Breaks: Two-week recesses are typically scheduled around Easter and Passover in mid-April, with additional breaks for Memorial Day and the Fourth of July
