They were loud, and I feared a window would break. None did, but I was happy that didn't happen when I was trying to sleep.

9. We had golf-ball sized hail where I am in Iowa and a tornado cloud lying sideways over the western part of my town.

We had an alert to go to our safe places. In the local Walmart, which was right across the street from where the funnel cloud was, everyone had to go to the back of the store where there are no windows.
