"I think Trump's behavior is atrocious but I would never vote for a Democrat."

This is a paraphrasing of comments made by several conservatives over the last year. The anti-Democratic bias is so strong in these people that they would never vote for one. I guess the best we can hope for is these assholes just don't vote at all.

Being against another tribe can be a big part of it.

It tells me it isn't entirely a cult of personality centered on Trump.

He is a useful idiot to many. Until he's not. The bull to break the china, that you can then put down and try to distance from.

Obviously, that's starting to happen. Even E-loon eventually decided it was better to play with himself, than with Trump.

And Democrats have been winning elections.

But people like Kelly are bigots. They vote on their hatred.

11. So many people don't know anything about Democrats, they just THINK they know.

They just know what their right-wing media tells them. They don't visit the DNC website, they don't have meaningful discussions with Democrats, they just wallow in their hate radio, FoxNews, conspiracy sites, and talk with good ol' white boys. Happy in their putrid bubble.

Democratic leadership needs to communicate exactly WHAT the party stands for and WHY the party opposes the traitor and his regime. Otherwise, CIABCNNBCBSFOXBS fills the media environment and the heads swimming around in it.

About the only method these people will deny their support for trump is feeling the pain he inflicts on them; otherwise it's simply more 'eyes closed and charge forward' .

As to conversations, appeals, civility... well, they only time I've heard of those successfully taking hold is by anecdotal, second-hand, tall tales.
