The call heard around the world and it was an extremely embarrassing call?

When Junior Dumpster Vance was in Hungary in the middle of the speech before a crowd, Vance thought it would be smart to call Trump! Ooopsie! Trump did not answer the 1st and 2nd attempt, but when Trump finally answered, Trump said that he was too busy to talk! Then Vance told Trump he was on with some Orban supporters and Trump still was rude!

A total failure in communication! Trump could have cared less about the call!

A dysfunctional relationship is apparent between these two individuals. Yet, it could be that Trump didn’t want his declining health to be heard?

No matter, it was an embarrassment for Vance and showed how Trump truly is at odds with Vance!

Just one more example of how incompetent this administration is! Trump not really knowing what is going on and how un impactful Vance’s timing is!

15. JD could easily and quietly create more chaos for Trump

All he would have to say in a speech would be, "Let's have your payers for President Trump's health. He--and the country...the world--really needs them."

Heads would explode. It would be a big story. JD could refuse to comment further, which would put a lot of pressure on the white house.

6. Seth Meyers does a recurring bit during his web-exclusive "Corrections" segments. . .
Sat Apr 11, 2026, 09:27 AM

. . . In which he tries to call Andy Samburg and Samburg almost never picks up. It works because Meyers has a sincere side under his caustic, self-deprecating shtick. (Corrections is a complex, self-referential universe that requires full immersion in order to be appreciated.)

Vance can't really pull off the same "See, I don't take myself all that seriously" routine because he is dead serious about achieving his goals even to the point of selling his soul to Donald Trump after publicly equating him to Hitler. What he doesn't seem to realize yet is that he was chosen to be Trump's junior partner because he doesn't encroach on Trump's territory. If he did, he would have never received the nod in the first place.

Because Vance lacks Trump's unique-- shall we say, showmanship-- he will never be able to hold the base together when Trump's sun has set. That's not really a problem for Donald Trump, of course, because he doesn't want a successor.

Trump wants the world to end when he does.

as the "Impeach Trump" temperature get hotter. If Trump is removed from office, Vance will be taking his place and Trump is not at all pleased. I wouldn't be surprised if he purposely sent Vance, a person with little political negotiating experience, to Pakistan, to negotiate a peace with Iranian delegates. If Vance fails, Trump will make it a big deal about how ineffective Vance is, "so you better not get rid of me, the greatest negotiator of all times".

17. MaddowBlog-JD Vance's latest failures join a growing and embarrassing list of Trump-imposed flops

Since taking office, the vice president has suffered a series of humiliations and failures after being assigned impossible tasks.

JD Vance’s first failure as VP was in December 2024 — when he was tasked with trying to convince senators to confirm Matt Gaetz as AG.

The list of humiliations has grown longer ever since, including two embarrassments over the weekend.

That failure was a sign of things to come.

Indeed, the events of December 2024 came to mind this week as Vance suffered back-to-back embarrassments. The vice president led a U.S. delegation in Pakistan for talks with Iran, which ended in failure due in part to the instructions he received from Trump; and less than a day later, the world learned of Hungary’s Viktor Orbán’s landslide defeat, despite Vance having campaigned on his behalf.

These were arguably two of the most important tasks the vice president has been assigned while in office, and both ended in failure. They were not, however, his only humiliations:

Vance reportedly advised Trump not to launch the war in Iran. He was ignored.

Vance tried to lead a diplomatic effort in Greenland last year, which was met with a swift and unsubtle backlash.

Vance tried to boost Germany’s right-wing party AfD in the country’s 2025 elections, and those efforts fell short, too.

Throughout his tenure, Vance has been publicly contradicted by Trump on everything from pardons to the deployment of federal troops to U.S. cities to immigration policy.

The vice president, in other words, isn’t exactly racking up victories.

At a recent White House event, Trump asked Vance to comment on negotiations with Iran. When the vice president said the process was “going good,” the president quickly followed up, asking whether the efforts would resolve the war. Vance hedged and said he’d brief Trump later.

“So if it doesn’t happen, I’m blaming JD Vance,” the president concluded. “If it does happen, I’m taking full credit.”

I am betting that Vance is taking this abuse because Vance is hoping that trump will not get through this term.

Spontaneity will kill you.

- You have to know what your going to say in advance,
- you need to game out unusual, hostile or sudden situations that might come up so you can keep your cool "under fire",
-And if you want to do anything that requires resources outside your event (like calling a boss or celebrity when you're doing a rally overseas) - it needs to be planned and locked down before you do it.

And don't do anything personal in public or business/office venues.
Employees are off limits.

Many otherwise smart and ambitious people let a position of power take over their common sense. "I'm in the position to make decisions" too often becomes "and everyone for whom I make decisions must listen to me and do what I say no matter what..."
