Is rolling coal still a thing? I may have been "targeted" today.

I drive a Prius. I was coming home from the grocery store today when this big pickup came alongside. There was a big (I dunno, 4-6 inch) metal tube or stovepipe coming out of what I always thought was a tool box located at the front of the box part. Lots of nasty black smoke came from there.

It makes me kind of happy that I might have triggered him. But I still think he's a jerk.

OTOH, maybe that's just how he rolls and it had nothing to do with me.

During 2nd pass, some photos were taken. And a cop was observing.

Jerk got charged, indicted, and is waiting trial for endangering people

But sure, lets' dig up trillions of tons of carbon and BURN IT.
That can't possibly cause a single problem, right?

* I hate the switch to "Climate Change", since the spike in greenhouse gases in the atmosphere is most definetly warming the planet. Global "heating" is a more accurate definition. But since Reich Wing idiots equate "global warming" with carbon credits or reduced $$$ or some other nonsense, we needed to soft pedal it by calling it "climate change".

7. I think the change of the term was a good idea.

Call it global warming, and every two-brain-cell, whackadoodle nut job within earshot will spew: "Well, it's cold out thar today, so that means global warmin' ain't happ'nin'!"

At least with "climate change", you can point to the verifiable increase in extreme weather conditions.

5. I am inclined to think you were targeted. Wikipedia mentions the term "Prius Repellant."

6. Jerk who attacked our No Kings protest had the pipe for the smoke located under the step up into the cab

Definitely modified to attack people on sidewalk with his toxic fumes. Thinking that fact won't help him much when his trial date comes up.

8. The smoke wasn't quite that intense

But it was a little windy - and he only had one pipe, and maybe he was even considering gas prices. So hard when it's expensive to be the a-hole you really want to be, lol.

I know a Prius used to offend them because we were conserving. Now I think it is probably at least half jealousy.

Anyway, it was chilly out and I had the windows up so I didn't even have to smell it. All in all, it was like water off a duck's back. Point and laugh at the fool sort of thing.
