Well, how time has passed

Although I had been reading DU since 2001, I didn't join until 20 years ago today. Thanks to Skinner, EarlG and Elad as well as the many members and posters who have helped make this a safe haven for all Democrats. DU is the best discussion site on the internet, in my opinion.

Every day I read this site and try to contribute when I think I have something cogent to contribute. I plan to make an anniversary gift to DU as a tribute to everyone here.

8. It's hard to give up my optimism

It's a quality I was raised with and although my wife calls me a Pollyanna, I am almost always hopeful.

DU helps me realize that MAGA is a minimal force albeit a loud one. It keeps me grounded, too.
