This took me a second, the ever insufferable Sen. Mike Lee seems to take offense because Christian doesnt precede his church.
Im guessing this is a list of recognized religions by the Federal Government or maybe for military dog tags.
Then I saw this side by side comparison. I found lots of articles primarily on Mormon sites that at least try to claim that the brotherly thing is common across religions. Id never heard that they believed this and Ive never heard anything like that in any Presbyterian or Baptist anything Ive been around.

(7,377 posts)Some pre-Nicene Christian groups believed that as well. After the Ecumenical Council, that view had to be tossed in order to comply with the doctrine.

(14,693 posts)if Kegsbreath understood Christianity AT ALL (which he obviously doesn't), he would leave an awful lot of us out who believe in Scripture + Holy Tradition. Like the Orthodox and Catholics, to name two.

(27,725 posts)is more like Evangelical Protestant Christianity, because there are a number of assertions there that the majority of Christians dont hold, starting right at the top with the number of books in the Bible.

Don't know about Orthodox.
Then there are the gnostic-influenced, but they're not a 'majority'.
Most of what's on the right is Nicene Creed.

(2,221 posts)I was raised as one (and am no longer; atheist now), but one of the MAIN THINGS about JW's is that they refuse to do military service under any circumstances, to the point of being jailed as, "conscientious objectors", whenever there may be a draft or some forced conscription. They remain neutral in all politics (will not vote, will not serve, etc.). So why are they listed AT ALL by the DOJ? That struck me as odd entirely.
It's so restrictive that if a JW DID decide to join the military, they'd no longer BE a JW (they'd be disfellowshipped, or "removed" as they call it now). Anyhow; not sure why, but that threw me off even more.
