I doubt it would be causing half as much fuss. My problem isn't the planned arch per se, but the sheer size of the damn thing. As always Trump goes overboard and ruins things by being gaudy.

I know Salt Lake City is planning a historical type arch, which isn't gonna be nearly as big -- and I think it's gonna be kinda neat. The sculptures on it are gonna be done by the same guy who did the main centerpiece of the National WWI Memorial that opened in DC a couple of years back, and that was really impressive when my wife and I were in DC back in '24.
