(1,705 posts)It was said many moons ago. The old same old same old won't do anymore. Something has to change. The far right has been a total failure, and people are fed up. It's time for real change.
AOC is just the person to make that happen. Last I heard, people, (especially the younger crowd) seem to like the benefits of being a progressive democrat. I keep seeing progressives winning all across this land.
We shall see how this all turns out over the next several months.

(3,275 posts)We cannot allow these people to continue to take up seats in our party when they have such a low will to actually fight for any important principles. Hopefully the "cross the aisle, slap each other on the back" types can read the writing on the wall. So far, the progressive wing has not very often targeted these old-timers. There is no time left for patience. It is unpleasant to have to target the under-performers. Hopefully they are seeing the writing on the wall and they will get out soon on their own without being pushed.
It is really exciting to see the new generation of leaders coming forward. I really like how Ossoff is getting his voice. I think Platner will beat Collins, precisely because the times really are a-changin'. I'm not on the ground in Maine, but I have a strong feeling that Mainers are way past ready for the change, and the beltway creatures just aren't ready to accept that reality, any more than they we weady for Mamdani.
If we can get Talarico across the line, this new reality will be impossible for the MSM to deny.
Hell, it is to the point I just don't care what the legacy media has to say. They are missing this story completely.
