His Wall Street cronies don't want their ability to buy up all the houses from us peons taken away.

(11,289 posts)he has 10 days to either sign or veto. If he does not sign but doesn't veto the bill will automatically take effect. If he vetoes, the from the overwhelming approval in both the Senate and the House they should have enough votes to override his veto....although you know when it comes to going against the President a lot of them suddenly get cold feet.
Another issue is Moses Mike could delay presenting the bill to the President so as to not start the clock.
So tired of this senile makeup covered idiot we have in the WH. ☮

(15,019 posts)That said....if he does not formally sign it/veto..... then it can become law after 10 days it becomes law.....unless.....However, if Congress adjourns before those 10 days are up, the bill dies without becoming law (a "pocket veto"
