Do you think Trump plans on stealing the midterms for the Republicans?

If so, how do you think he will try to do it?

Would we assume that the Republicans are in on the "steal"?

Can he affect the election enough by attempting to brand Democrats as "communists"? Will that suppress Democrats and increase turnout for Republicans? I doubt it, but if there is enough repetition and FOX News stays on the "communists" story every day, who knows?

He is desperate and the Republicans are desperate to win the next election.

What do you think is their plan?

But "the midterms" aren't a single election; they are 50 of them, all controlled at state and local levels with different rules. That's why "election-stealing" in the US is so difficult. He and the GOP can try to influence elections in various states with false advertising and other shenanigans, and Democrats everywhere need to be ready for all forms of ratfucking which will certainly occur.

On the other hand, he has a really short attention span (except when it comes to a limited number of his pet obsessions)

Again, on the one hand, he's surrounded by a gang of brown-nosers also trying to steal anything that's not nailed down

But on the other hand, he's uninformed and uninterested in learning, and he's as dumb as a box of hammers

It's like when the elementary school delinquents figure out how to start the bull-dozer. On the one hnad, how much damage could they do? On the other hand, how much damage could they really do?

the question to ask about this is, okay, he wants to cancel the midterms. how does he get the VA state board of elections to cancel the midterms? how does he get the georgia board of elections to do it? how does he convince republican house members to quit their jobs and give up their paychecks?

There is so much corruption to bring charges on and since it’s not a court appeals and delays would be a moot point. So much of his criming would be bared, it’d destroy him.

He has to hope the republicans take both houses.

The commie threat has been played out.(I sincerely hope).
Too many people on all sides are truly pissed off at the MAGA regime. I believe it’s going to be a record turnout for midterms.

To me the clearest method is one that they've already been using to great success, but turned up to 11, which is denying people who attempt to cast votes.

They've successfully removed millions of the "wrong" people from voter roles, and in Georgia went so far as to allow challenges to voters on the flimsiest of pre-texts resulting in 10's of thousands of very strategically selected voters having their votes discarded after having voted, in most cases without ever being notified of the fact.

THIS is why Trump wants every state's voter rolls--so they can select voters to disenfranchise.

And based on how Republicans are acting - they don't seem to care what the public thinks on ANY topic - they seem to think he will be successful.

I have no idea if they'll be successful. They will use a combination of voter suppression and intimidation at the polls, for sure, combined with all kids of negative ads. And I suspect the Musk boy will be in this up to his neck.

They haven't seemed to be as "chummy" of late as they were during the 2024 election. I know they have been to several of the same social events, so they aren't completely out of touch.

I think it will be very telling if Musk re-emerges as someone taking an unusual interest in the election(s).

Trump, et al will definitely try to cheat any way that they can. That's a given. All the while, he'll be accusing Dems of doing the cheating. Same song, verse three hundred and twenty-five.

I don't know what the plan is, but I put nothing past them. I am still not convinced that he won fairly in 2024, and probably never will be.

... if he can convince Musk to do it again. Theil's hiding out down in South America now, so he might not help.

I would say, of course the Republicans are in on it; just listen to "Moses" Johnson. And if there were any who were disinclined to steal an election, they wouldn't even BE Republicans; they'd be kicked out of the party!

The whole "Commie" thing is pitifully ridiculous. Remember how many of those MAGA dipshits wore T-shirts saying, "I'D RATHER BE A RUSSIAN THAN A DEMOCRAT!" It'll take some serious pretzel logic to get around that!

DESPERATE is the word, alright. And a cornered animal is dangerous in the extreme. A rabid hyena would be more circumspect than Trump; he'll try anything, up to, and including, mass murder, and he'd blame it on Biden.

The question is: How much more of his psychotic bullshit will rank-and-file Republicans put up with, knowing that he's going to cost them the election? Even the stupidest of them have some sense of self-preservation, ain't that right, Tuberville?

Snowden sold out Anonymous in 2013. They may have had a hand in thwarting the man in the middle in 2012. Putin got a lot of data in exchange for asylum. The Dems do not have anyone in surveillance tech.

Local law enforcement is full of fascists who are all in with this administration and its corporate allies.

They will do everything from rig machines, counts, voter intimidation, refuse to seat the dems that do get through.

The Dems will not pressure the media to challenge this environment.

People are going to have to actively resist this regime. They are not going to leave it to politics.
