Heads up! If you are going to celebrate the Fourth of July on the National Mall, clarified rules are here:

–NO backpacks, coolers or folding chairs
-Free water refill stations on site
-President Trump plans to speak for 45 minutes starting at 9:45
–Fireworks scheduled to begin at 10:30

If you don't suffer deadly heat stroke, severe sunburn (despite sunblock), potential storm impacts (e.g., lightning, hail, or other), and go broke trying to afford the abysmal but intensely costly food USA Today reported on today, you have to listen to Trump ramble on about his grievances and miss most or all of the fireworks in a desperate attempt to leave and get home before the rest of the crowds make that impossible...

Uggh. No, just no. I will gladly ignore the "festivities" and try desperately to comfort my sweet old 15 yo pup if anyone dares to light fireworks nearby--during our overwhelming wildfire threats.
