Another one to put on the list of reforms. Stronger requirements for appointees

There should be stricter rules governing the appointment to federal positions like heads of agencies and the like. I know that the Senate is supposed to act as a safeguard and deny incompetent people, but obviously, this no longer works.

We taxpayers, should expect that somebody running a particular agency should have a resume that matches that. For example, an actual doctor or healthcare professional at the head of the HHS (not a RFK Jr. type), or somebody with actual intelligence/law enforcement experience being the DNI or running the CIA, FBI, Defense, Justice, etc.

It is a function of the executive to place their own appointees, I get that, but there should be minimum requirements for whom they can nominate.
