Air quality assault in Washington DC on the fourth

880,000 fireworks shells to be detonated in Washington Saturday evening have the potential to create a toxic cloud of heavy metals and particulates that pushes the maximum AQI limit of 500. Further, this cloud may affect the surrounding area for up to 14 hours. The populace in the area are being advised to wear an N95 type of mask during the event.

No consideration for the effect on people, the local biota, or the environment in general. Let’s just create a garish spectacle for the POS. Maybe it will turn the reflecting pool black……..

To be completely banned. Animals. Fire risk. Noise. Pollution. Waste if money. Toxins - all dished up with a side of mild hyopnosis.

For your animals and yourself. We don't have many in this town but in Melbourne my neighbour had to put his dog down from trauma and injury from escaping fireworks. I personally cannot see one favourable thing about them.

Then I got dogs. My tan and white beagle is terrified of them. We have a thundershirt and pheromone scented collar and th at helps.
