Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has thrown her support behind Abdul El-Sayed, the doctor and progressive Democrat seeking the party’s nomination in Michigan’s closely watched US Senate race.

In an interview with the New York Times, Ocasio-Cortez – an influential congresswoman on the left of the Democratic party – endorsed El-Sayed, a former public health director. “Despite our ideological differences and whatever disagreements there are in the party, every single one of us sees this moment as existential,” she said.

I don't care for Piker one way or the other but most of the candidates he supports and gets his under 30 audience to support end up winning.

If El Sayed wins the primary he will most likely win the general election. Talk in November

Similar with Planter and his issues in Maine, already trailing in the polls to Collins

14. If I remember the analysis correctly

With polling compared to Mike Rogers El-Sayed leads with women and younger men. Mike Rogers leads with older men so he will have to make up ground where he trails but I think he can reach a lot of the uncommitted and younger voters to help him win statewide.

Piker will probably lose the Fox News crowd but they were likely to lose those voters anyway. Most people especially younger voters will seek out these people themselves on whatever platforms they're on and make up their own mind. El-Sayed was not in first place in polling before the rally he did with Piker. Since the outrage over that he has actually moved to first place and got more grassroots donations.

from the article:
